Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Namewise app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

License to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Namewise on Apple devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial memory practice. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law and the App Store Terms of Service.

What Namewise is — and isn't

Namewise is a memory-practice game. It is not facial recognition, identity verification, or a medical, psychological, or cognitive diagnostic tool. The Recall Index and trends are personal, own-baseline practice feedback only. They are not a brain-age, IQ, or clinical score, and they can vary from day to day. Do not rely on the app for any medical or diagnostic purpose.

Acceptable use

When creating custom "My People" packs, you are responsible for the images you add. You agree to add only images you have the right to use, and to respect the privacy of anyone depicted. Do not use the app to harass, impersonate, or build material about people without an appropriate basis to do so. Because custom content stays on your device, you remain solely responsible for it.

Subscriptions and auto-renewal

Namewise offers an optional "Namewise Pro" subscription and/or in-app purchases, sold through Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store account settings. Prices and offerings may change; any change applies to future billing periods. Payments, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will improve your memory.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Namewise and its makers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Because the app stores data only on your device, you are responsible for your own device backups.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
