Privacy Policy

Namewise is built to be private by design. There are no accounts, no servers, and no backend. We do not run analytics or advertising SDKs. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what that means for your data.

What we collect: nothing on our servers

We do not have servers, so there is nowhere for your data to go. Namewise does not create an account, does not require sign-in, and does not transmit your study activity, custom faces, or results to us or to any third party. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs. We collect nothing about you.

On-device data

Everything the app remembers lives only on your iPhone:

• Bundled faces are AI-generated. The faces included with the app are synthetic images created by AI. They are not photographs of real, identifiable people.
• Your custom faces stay on your device. If you build a "My People" pack from images on your phone, those images and the names you give them are stored locally. The current version does not upload them.
• Study data stays on your device. Sessions, streaks, achievements, household profiles, your Recall Index, and own-baseline trends are all kept on-device.

If you delete the app, the on-device data it created is removed with it.

The caregiver PDF

Namewise can generate a caregiver progress report as a PDF. This report is created entirely on your device. It only leaves your phone if you choose to share it using Apple's system share sheet — for example, sending it to a family member or clinician. We never receive a copy.

Purchases

Any Namewise Pro purchase or subscription is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple ID. We do not see or store your payment details. Purchase and billing information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

Namewise does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because there are no accounts and nothing is sent to us, no personal data about a child (or any user) is gathered, sold, or shared. Household profiles are simply local labels you create on the device.

Data we sell or share

None. We have no servers, we collect nothing, and we do not sell, rent, or share any personal information — because there is none to sell, rent, or share.

Changes to this policy

If we update how the app handles data, we will revise this page and update the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
